Changes in the new version of Ghoomar Song (Padmaavat) will shock you! Padmaavat makers released a new version of Ghoomar Song in which Deepika Padukone’s midriff is covered using special effects.

In the newly released Ghoomar song, the portion with Ghaghra choli has been completely covered using computer-generated cloth.

As we all know that Censor Board of Film Certification of India has asked the makers to remove the shots in which the midriff of Deepika Padukone is visible in the Ghoomar song.

A source present at the screening of the film reports to The Quint saying, “The CBFC’s Examining Committee asked the film’s producers to remove the shots where her stomach was visible. However such editing would have disturbed the smooth choreographic flow of elegant dance number. The director preferred to conceal Deepika’s belly through computer graphics”.

The old version which is present on the Youtube has been re-edited and uploaded on the same video. So that the video retains its 90+ million views.

The changes in the Ghoomar song are proposed by CBFC to the makers of Padmaavat (previously Padmavati) due to outrage in the Rajput Community. Protesters criticised the song saying that Rajput queens never danced in front of anybody as shown in the song.

“History has witnessed that none of the Rajput maharanis has ever danced in front of everyone and they cannot play with history”, says Heena Singh Judeo to news agency IANS. (She is the daughter-in-law of Dilip Singh Judeo of Chhattisgarh’s former royal family.)

Padmaavat’, previously titled Padmavati is a period drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is based on the epic poem Padmavat (1540) by Malik Muhammad Jayasi.

The film portrays the narrative of Padmavati, a legendary Rajput queen who conferred Jauhar to shield herself from Khilji, a savage Muslim ruler.

There were also some concerns shown by certain groups in Rajasthan. They claim that the film has a dream sequence which wrongly depicts romance between Rani Padmini (or Padmavati) and Khilji. But Sanjay Leela Bhansali (director) has repeatedly denied these allegations.

Among these problems, Padmaavat gets a sigh of relief. The clash between Padman and Padmaavat has been avoided. Now Padmaavat gets a solo release on 25th January 2018.
